Denture Aftercare and Cleaning

Replace and Reline Checkups
Dentures will last five-to-seven years with realignment around the two-year mark. Yearly checkups will help verify if your dentures are fitting properly. Our helpful staff will send friendly reminders to come in and update your fit.

Storing and Cleaning Your Dentures
We recommend you brush your dentures after every meal. As well, clean your dentures once a day for a quick 10-minute soak in Renew to keep them looking their best.
If you have natural teeth with a partial, brush your teeth and tongue when the partial is out to help prevent cavities.
Don’t Worry… You’ll Have Teeth That Day!
We understand that the loss of your natural teeth is distressing. We take care of this concern with teeth on the same day. We provide immediate dentures to the extraction site. These dentures stay in place for 24 hours until you see your denturist the next day.
Not only do they allow for you to go about your normal life after the extraction, they also act as a band-aid to help form the gums and promote healing.
Why Do Liner Placements Take Reoccurring Visits?
The liner process is ongoing in the first year as your gums and mouth get used to your new teeth. It takes up to a year for the gums to shrink and they will continue to shrink over time. So liners need to be placed every couple of months to adjust with your changing shape. Then at the one-year mark we do a processed reline. After the initial reline you’ll be all set for a few more years!
